SSP TMR Blog Debuts

The Society for Scholarly Publishing‘s Top Management Roundtable meeting, scheduled this September 3-5 in Philadelphia, PA, now has its own blog, updating interested parties about the meeting’s format, linking to interesting work from speakers, and allowing for blogging at and after the meeting.

This year’s Top Management Roundtable has as its theme, “Constant Content and Autonomous Authors.” Co-chairs Kent Anderson and Lori Barber are organizing a meeting to help publishers and editors explore what it means when authors and content-creators have powerful tools at their disposal. What is the role of the editor? What is the role of the publisher? How are blogs and podcasts commercialized? How is authority created? How is brand preserved or changed?

Select attendees will participate in interviews with active bloggers and podcasters at the meeting. On Day 2, attendees will see what these authors were able to create, the results they generated, and discuss the implications.

Please bookmark this blog, and check back for updates frequently. Registration for the meeting will become available soon.
