Phill Jones
Phill Jones

I’m pleased to announce a new Chef in the Kitchen, Phill Jones. Phill is the head of Publisher Outreach at Digital Science. Because he works at the intersection of new technology development and the implementation of those technologies by publishers, I expect to learn a lot from Phill about how our industry continues to develop and deal with new products and systems as they become available. Phill also brings the perspective of the research scientist, and has done wide-ranging work in a variety of fields.

Phill took a test drive on The Kitchen with a pair of posts that offer great insight into the under-recognized hardships of the postdoctoral researcher, and some reasons why publishers should be more focused on serving their needs. Phill’s next post will be out in the near future, but we wanted to include his thoughts on this month’s Ask The Chefs question. Welcome aboard!
