Professor Suchikova (Sychikova) is Vice-Rector for Research at Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, one of the dislocated universities since the war. As Secretary of the Presidium of the Council of Vice-Rectors for Research of Ukraine, she actively advocates for national support of displaced institutions. Her research in materials science focuses on dual-use technologies, while her broader academic interests include meta-science, scholarly communication, and the ethics of AI use. She has also conducted social research on the experiences of scholars forced to leave their homes since the full-scale invasion in 2022.
