Since 2020, he has published influential papers on preprints, appeared on international radio (BBC Radio 4, ORF, German National Radio), and been featured in major media outlets. Jonny created and hosted the Preprints in Motion podcast, advocating for preprints’ benefits for early-career researchers. He serves on the scientific advisory boards of Europe PMC, eiRxiv, and AREN. He founded Rippling Ideas, a non-profit advocacy organisation based in Sheffield, UK, in 2024. Jonny enjoys climbing, photography, music, and adventures with his dog, Jessie.
