Miranda Walker is an Associate Director at Wolters Kluwer Health where she and her team navigate and implement the strategic publishing goals for select Wolters Kluwer proprietary journals and society partners. Before joining Wolters Kluwer in 2016, Miranda spent nearly a decade at INFORMS where she led the society’s self-publishing program. She entered STM publishing in 2002, at Johns Hopkins, where she was charged with moving the journal Ophthalmology to electronic peer review. She survived that transition with papercuts to prove it and has since launched new journals, managed production workflows, migrated journals to and from all major online hosting platforms, and navigated Open Access and other industry challenges. She will serve as President of the Society for Scholarly Publishing 2022-2023.
