Rebecca Lawrence discusses how connections across all aspects of the system are needed for open research to flourish and deliver upon its promise.
Rebecca Lawrence is Managing Director of F1000. She was responsible for the launch of F1000Research in 2013 and has led the launch of many funder- and institution-based publishing platforms partnering with the EC, the Gates Foundation, Wellcome and others, that aim to provide a new trajectory in the way scientific findings are communicated. She was a member of the EC’s Open Science Policy Platform, and has co-Chaired many working groups for Research Data Alliance (RDA) and ORCID. She is a Steering Committee member of DORA (San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment), a member of the Board of Directors of Open Research Central, and has worked in STM publishing for over 20 years.
