We are off on Monday for the US Labor Day holiday, which, among other things, marks an end to summer vacations for many, as students return to school. In an era of rampant climate change, it’s hard to say exactly when summer will come to an end (or if it will at all for many), and our pre-conceived seasonal patterns and traditions may soon become less and less accurate.

That said, any excuse to listen to Neko Case is always welcome. Here, a personal favorite, “Magpie to the Morning” and I urge you to take her (or at least the magpie’s) warning — don’t let this fading summer pass you by.
