Jonathan Schultz is Sr. Director of Journal Operations for the American Heart Association. The AHA has 13 top cardiovascular and stroke journals in its portfolio, including Circulation Research, Circulation, Hypertension, and Stroke. Jonathan has spent over 20 years in scientific publishing, and as Sr. Director, he works on coordinating staff and efforts across the portfolio, developing and implementing the AHA’s publishing policies and initiatives, and creating a long-term strategic plan. Jonathan is also the current Editor-in-Chief of Science Editor, a publication of the Council of Science Editors.
The Scholarly Kitchen’s Mental Health Awareness Working Group has been active for around six months now. With May designated as Mental Health Awareness Month, we wanted to take a look back at what we’ve achieved, and a look forward to what we are planning for the rest of 2024.
