Who doesn’t love a good pop-up book? New titles continue to push the envelope on what can be done. I’m a big fan of David Carter’s series of abstract pop-ups, as well as his instructional manual on how to make your own. The hidden engineering behind the magic of a good pop-up book is fascinating, and the video below features one of the modern masters, Matthew Reinhart, showing some of the tricks of the trade.
