SSP Thanks 567 Individual & Organizational Contributors

The Generations Fund is nearing the finish line, officially surpassing 90% of its goal of $500,000. To date, 527 individuals and 40 organizations have donated to the Generations Fund, pushing the fund to $450,000.

The fund is an endowment that will provide sustainable funding for the Society for Scholarly Publishing’s FellowshipMentoring, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility programs far into the future. SSP predicts we will reach our $500,000 goal by the time of the 47th SSP Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland this May. These programs will then be supported by the endowment’s invested funds without future fundraising. This will provide long-term, dependable resources for programs that advance workforce development and inclusion in the scholarly communications profession.

Most recently, a generous group of SSP members agreed to provide monthly recurring gifts to help us finish the fund by the Annual Meeting. These dedicated individuals are:

Ted Bakamjian

Jignesh Bhate

Todd Carpenter

Ginny Herber

Maria Jose Ibarra

Bill Kasdorf

Heather Kotula

Rebecca McLeod

Alice Meadows

Christine Orr

Meredith Pond

Andrew Scuderi

Heather Ruland Staines

SSP will have special celebrations for these and all donors during the Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland. The finish line is in sight for the Generations Fund, and SSP is so thankful to those who have made SSP’s endowment campaign a successful team effort.
