What Is a Hipster?

Hipster is a term that has gone from cool to cloying over the past decade, yet it eludes definition. Look it up in the Urban Dictionary, and you’re faced with one of the longest definitions I’ve ever seen, which only confirms that it’s hard to nail down.

This video by a French immigrant who is also trying to understand hipsterism is entertaining and informative. I was especially surprised by the hepatitis angle.

Happy Friday!
