Today’s post is from the Scholarly Kitchen Cabinet, a committee of the Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) that governs the Scholarly Kitchen.

The Kitchen Cabinet periodically conducts a survey in an effort to  continuously improve how The Scholarly Kitchen serves our community. As part of this effort, we hope to reach not only regular readers of the Kitchen but also those who only read it occasionally or even not at all, so please feel free to share the link with colleagues who wouldn’t otherwise see it — we’d love to get their views too!

We are currently fielding the 2021 survey, so you may already have received a personalized email invitation. We thank those individuals who have already completed the survey. If you have not yet had a chance to complete your survey, you can return to the original emailed link to continue where you left off.

If you haven’t received a survey invitation, please know that we would like your perspective as well. You can click on this link to participate in the survey. Please do so only once!

The survey, which is completely anonymous, takes between 10-20 minutes to complete. Please take a moment today to participate. At the very end, if you would be happy to be contacted for possible followup, there is an entirely optional opportunity to add your email address.

We will be using the survey results to better understand community needs and make adjustments as needed. We will also be comparing the results with the findings of our last survey, in early 2018, to see what progress has been made.

We will be reporting our findings to the SSP Board, and in a post here in The Scholarly Kitchen later this year, as well as via other venues including at the 2021 SSP Annual Meeting.

Thank you so much for considering this request. We hope to be able to include your perspective in the survey.
