Just a note to let you know that we’re taking the rest of the week off to enjoy the improving weather. Here in the northeast, the crocuses and daffodils are up and blooming, harbingers of warmer weather and better days ahead. As Tom Waits sings below, you can never hold back Spring.

One housekeeping note: Over the last several years I’ve mixed in my own personal tweets on the @scholarlykitchn account, and this never felt comfortable, as that name and account should represent the whole group of us here, rather than just me. So I’ve launched my own Twitter account, @davidacrotty, and if you want to keep hearing my nonsense, please head over there and follow. The @scholarlykitchn account will continue on announcing new (and old) posts from the Kitchen, as well as amplifying the voices of our Chefs and the SSP.
