Today I am very pleased to announce that Hong Zhou has agreed to join The Scholarly Kitchen as a Chef. Hong leads the Intelligent Services Group at Wiley’s Partner Solutions, which designs and develops products/services that leverage advanced AI, big data, and cloud technologies to modernize publishing workflow, enhance content & audience discovery and monetization, and help publishers move from content provider to knowledge provider.
Before joining Wiley/Atypon in January 2017, Hong applied machine learning algorithms for the insurance industry as the CTO of Digital Fineprint served as a senior software engineer at Schlumberger, and developed racing games for the British video game developer Eutechnyx. Hong holds a PhD in 3D modeling with artificial intelligence from Aberystwyth University in Wales, an MBA in Digital Transformation & Strategy from the University of Oxford, a master’s degree in computer science from The University of Sheffield, and certifications in AI and Cloud from Stanford University and Google. Hong also serves as a distinguished expert in the National Key Laboratory of Knowledge Mining and Service for Medical Journals in China
Hong has been writing guest posts at The Scholarly Kitchen for several years now, and with his expertise in artificial intelligence (AI), we’re thrilled to bring him on as a regular author here as AI is set to revolutionize nearly all aspects of scholarly communication.
