Aurelia Munene is a social science researcher and founder of Eider Africa, an organization committed to co-creating research environments where emerging researchers in Africa can take leadership in driving responsible knowledge production and utilization in the continent. She is also the Executive Director of Nascent Research and Development Organisation. Aurelia has expertise in designing research mentorship initiatives for individuals, groups and universities. Aurelia is an AuthorAID Steward at AuthorAID INASP UK, coordinates the AuthorAID online Social Sciences Journal Club and a Guest Facilitator of the Research Writing for the Sciences Course. Aurelia is the Research Committee Lead at Association for Faculty Enrichment in Learning and Teaching (AFELT) and is leading an initiative on Transforming Research Capacity Development in African Universities. Aurelia is a member of the Research Data KE Working Group . She holds a Masters in Development Studies, Major in Social Policy for Development from Erasmus University International Institute of Social Studies (ISS), The Hague Netherlands. She is trained in Learning Design and Facilitating Online Learning.
