I’m delighted to announce the addition of a new voice in The Scholarly Kitchen, Lettie Conrad. Lettie is an independent publishing consultant, has in the past worked for SAGE and NISO, and was recently named the North American Editor for Learned Publishing. Kitchen readers may already be familiar with Lettie, as she has authored two guest posts for us in the past (here and here). Both posts take a look at the user experience, understanding how researchers interact with our publications and other products. Given the recent revelations about Sci-Hub, and how one of its strongest drawing cards is a simplified user interface, having  Lettie’s expertise available to our readers comes at the right time.

Join me in welcoming Lettie aboard, her first official post is up today.
